As the stillness of winter settles over the Hampshire countryside, Silchester Farm invites you to pause, reset, and reconnect at our Wellness Retreat — a three-day escape designed to nourish both body and mind.

Led by Ally and Ben of Ballymore House, this immersive retreat blends yoga, mindfulness, movement, and community in the tranquil surroundings of the farm. Together, they bring a unique harmony of heart, health, and hospitality:

  • Ally, a cardiology nurse, long-distance runner, and yoga teacher, shares her deep understanding of physical wellbeing and the science of the heart.

  • Ben, a fitness enthusiast, Pilates Instructor, gym owner, and entrepreneur, brings energy, warmth, and a passion for empowering others to live healthier, more balanced lives.

Throughout the retreat, guests will be gently guided through energising and restorative yoga sessions, breathwork, and meditation, complemented by nutritious, seasonal farm-to-table meals. Expect thoughtful touches, like a Silchester Farm welcome hamper, cosy communal gatherings, and time to unwind by the fire or explore the countryside.

Whether you’re seeking rest, reconnection, or a fresh start to the year, this is your invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover balance.

    7:00pm | Yoga Class 1 – Gentle grounding flow to ease into the retreat

    8:00pm | Elevated Buffet-Style Dinner

    9:00pm | Quiz Night & Icebreakers – light-hearted activities to encourage connection

    10:00pm onwards | Guests free to enjoy the bar and evening at leisure

    Day 2

    8:30am | Yoga Class 2 – Dynamic flow with breathwork & meditation

    9:30am | Continental Breakfast

    12:00pm | Calisthenics & Core Class with Ben – Strength and stability

    1:00pm | Personal Free Time

    2:00pm | Light Lunch

    3:00pm | Guided Historical Nature Walk & Outdoor Meditation

    5:30pm | Dinner (not included in retreat package)

About Ally and Ben from Ballymore House

Ally and Ben are the heart and soul behind Ballymore House. Their journey began during the pandemic, when a shared passion for wellness and plant-based living sparked both a personal and professional partnership. With backgrounds in healthcare and fitness—Ally as a dedicated nurse, Ben as the owner of two thriving gyms and a former café entrepreneur—they bring a unique blend of compassion, vitality, and hospitality to everything they do.

Driven by a vision to create a sanctuary for mindful living, they searched for a home that could nurture community, healing, and connection. That dream came to life at Ballymore House—a stunning 1905 Arts and Crafts property nestled in the sleepy village of Tandragee. It’s now a vibrant hub for yoga, seasonal cooking, animal rescue, and sustainable living.

Between running three businesses, raising their son, and caring for a lively crew of rescue hens, ducks, and four cats, they understand the modern-day juggle—and the deep need to pause, breathe, and reset. Their retreats are designed to offer just that: a space to unwind, reconnect, and be gently guided by hosts who live what they teach.
