Housekeeping
Our housekeeping team are expanding, and we are looking for experienced and reliable people to join our team. As a casual member of staff, there will be a variation of shifts available. The Role:
Cleaning all areas of Silchester Farm on a daily basis with a deep clean following a wedding or event. Inclusive of the events spaces, accommodation, prep areas and staff working spaces
Servicing the accommodation including stripping and making beds, cleaning bathrooms and replenishing toiletries
Replenishing in house amenities and room checks.
Ensuring the external areas are clean and tidy for any weddings, events or visitors.
General maintenance of the venue including window cleaning, polishing, etc
Assisting with delivery of breakfast and in house accommodation catering.
Maintaining in house facilities and ensuring all areas of the venue are set and ready for overnight stays, day and evening hire.
Oversight of all spaces ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and overall attention to detail across indoor and outdoor areas.
Sous Chef/Chef de Partie
A fabulous opportunity to join our growing kitchen team and be a part of something special.
The casual role is full time which will require flexibility around weddings and events 7 days a week.
Typically (but not limited to) 40 hours a week based on a 5 out of 7 working day week.
Responsibilities
Preperation and service on both event and non event days
Maintain the high standards of cleanliness.
Assisting with menu design and supporting our Head Chef from concept to execution
Knowledge of allergens policy
Hands on approach to support a productive kitchen.
Supporting our kitchen with the provision of items for our Farmshop, Food Truck and event menus
Assisting our Kitchen Porter with cleaning
Strong communication with the Events and Bar Managers
Some lone working and early breakfast shifts
Requirements-
1 years’ experience within similar establishments providing for 100+ covers using local fresh ingredients.
Strong understanding of seasonal menus, and willingness to learn
An understanding of HACCP.
Good communication skills.
Own transport is essential due to the rural location.
Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and embrace our ethos - working with fresh ingredients, local suppliers, with a 'CAN DO' attitude.
We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner menus - for events, guests and in house dining opportunities, we have avast and diverse range of services to compliment our front of house operation. You must be enthusiastic and willing to take instruction from our friendly Head Chef, who will offer leadership and the opportunity to learn. Homemade products and creativity is key to our success and continued efforts to expand our food offering.
Casual Bar & Waiting Staff
We are always looking for enthusiastic and friendly front and back of house staff to join our events team. With private and public events offering a variety of shifts where no two days are the same.
From kitchen to bar, including set up and on the day event assistance - casual hours available to suit the right candidate. An opportunity to work across both the kitchen and bar departments, learning from an experienced and friendly team. Experience in hospitality is a bonus, as we can offer appropriate shifts to suit your experience and skill.
Weekend and late shifts included - candidates must drive due to the nature of the hours and location.
Gardener
As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of our gardens and landscapes. If you have a passion for plants and enjoy working outdoors, we would love to hear from you. Working alongside our estate team, as a casual member of staff, to ensure the grounds and gardens are effectively maintained throughout all seasons. As our allotment and kitchen grows, knowledge on seasonal produce is required to ensure we are working closely with our kitchen to grow what we need to supply both our kitchen and Trough Farm Shop.
