Your Pyggy stay
Welcome to Silchester Farm
Welcome to Silchester Farm. We’re delighted to have you staying with us and hope you enjoy a peaceful escape in the heart of the Hampshire countryside.
From settling into your Pyggy to enjoying something delicious from the farm, we’re here to make your stay as comfortable and effortless as possible.
Here are a few things to know during your visit.
The Essentials
Check-in from 2pm
On arrival, drive through the main gated entrance and head to Car Park 1, which is on your right.
Follow the gravel path and you’ll find the Estate Office directly ahead. Our team will be there to welcome you, check you in and show you to your Pyggy.
Check-out
Check-out is 10am prompt.
Our housekeeping team will be arriving to prepare the Pyggy for our next guests, so we kindly ask that you leave by this time.
Before you head home, do pop into our Trough Farmshop, which will be open after check-out. Enjoy a coffee and pick up a few farm treats for the journey.
Parking
Please use Car Park 1 during your stay.
Gate Access After 5:30pm
The farm gates will be closed at 5:30pm each evening.
After this time, please use the gate code 0611 to enter and exit the farm.
You’ll also find the code conveniently noted on the back of your key for easy access throughout your stay.
Your Pyggy
You’ll have your own key throughout your stay.
For your convenience, the Pyggies can also be locked securely from the inside without using the key.
We’re Here if You Need Us
Our team are on hand throughout your stay and will be on site from 9am to 5:30pm. If there’s anything you need outside of these hours, please give us a call: 0118 315 1537
Settling In
Heating
Your Pyggy will be warmed to a comfortable ambient temperature before you arrive.
The black remote control allows you to adjust the temperature to suit you:
Sunshine: For heating. We recommend 19°C with the FAN set to level 2 for a warm, comfortable temperature.
Fan: For cooling the room when you’d like a little fresh air.
If you’re unsure how to use the controls, just let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
Hot Water
Your hot water is available throughout your stay, so there’s always time for a hot shower or a long, relaxing soak in the tub.
Kitchen
You’ll find washing-up supplies under the sink.
If you need additional cups, glasses, crockery or cutlery, please let us know and we’ll be happy to arrange this for you.
Your Tap
A quick note, as our taps come in two styles:
Round tap: Twist fully to get hot water.
Long tap: Lift and turn to switch the water on, then fully twist to get hot water.
