At Silchester Farm, guests are invited to enjoy exclusive access to our outdoor swimming pool and tennis court, perfect for both relaxation and recreation during your stay. Whether you're looking to cool off with a refreshing dip or enjoy a friendly match on the court, these facilities are available for your use throughout your visit. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the countryside, the pool and court offer a peaceful setting to unwind, stay active, and make the most of your time at the farm.
Tennis Court
Court Opening Times for our residents:
April to October 10am - 7pm
November to March 11am - 3pm
Guests staying at Silchester Farm enjoy complimentary use of the tennis court throughout their stay.
Rackets and balls can be collected from Trough Farm Shop.
The tennis court is also available for members of the public to book, subject to availability, so we recommend reserving
your slot in advance.
Non-Resident Pricing and Hours:
Open 10am to 5pm
£15 – 1 hour court hire with 2 soft drinks
£20 – 1 hour court hire including 2 rackets, 2 balls and 2 soft drinks
Public Tennis Court access can be booked in advance by emailing trough@silchesterfarm.co.uk
Swimming Pool
Pool Opening Times for our residents:
April to October 9am - 8pm*
The pool is unguarded, so children must be supervised at all times.
The Pool can be used once you have checked in and up to your check out time.
Guests staying at Silchester Farm enjoy complimentary use of the outdoor swimming pool
from check-in until check-out.
The pool is also available to members of the public on selected non-event days.
*Please note the pool is unguarded. The pool is subject to maintenance and is not available on wedding days or accessible to wedding guests.
Bikes
Fancy a ride around the ruins, or a picnic in the park?
We have 2 bicycles available for hire for our residents.
Collect from reception.
All bikes have locks, baskets and helmets.
It is our recommendation that you wear them.
