At Silchester Farm, food has always been about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about the people, the produce and the setting around it.
Our Kitchen Garden plays an important part in what we do, with seasonal ingredients grown on the farm making their way into our menus alongside produce sourced from local suppliers. Our Trough Farm Shop brings together some of our favourite local products, fresh bakes and farm produce, creating a place to stop for a morning coffee, pick up something delicious or discover a little more of what Hampshire has to offer.
Across the farm, food is designed to feel generous, relaxed and sociable. From sharing plates and grazing to fire-feast-style cooking and seasonal dining events, we love bringing people together around good food in beautiful surroundings.
From morning coffee to countryside dining
There’s no single way to experience food at Silchester Farm. You might start your visit with a coffee and pastry from Trough, spend the afternoon exploring the farm and return for an evening of grazing, cocktails and fire-cooked food.
Our calendar of seasonal dining experiences and events brings people together throughout the year, celebrating British produce, local suppliers and the changing seasons. Whether it’s a relaxed gathering with friends or one of our larger farm feasts, the aim is always the same: delicious food, good company and a setting that makes you want to stay a little longer.
