How Silchester Farm Gives Back to the Local Community

At Silchester Farm, we are deeply committed to supporting our local community. As a rural business in the heart of Hampshire, we believe that our role extends beyond the estate itself - it’s about contributing to the life of the village and surrounding areas in meaningful ways.

Supporting a cause close to our heart

Our chosen charity is Parkinson’s UK, which holds special significance for us as the previous owner of Silchester Farm passed the estate on due to his own journey with Parkinson’s. Supporting this charity allows us to honour the farm’s heritage while contributing to vital research and care that benefits people locally and nationally.

Sponsorships and local events

We are proud sponsors of the Silchester Cricket Club and the much-loved annual Silchester Country Fayre, both wonderful village traditions that bring residents together and foster community spirit. At the Fayre, you’ll often find our team selling Silchester Farm produce at the market and supporting the Dog Show with the top prize of a free stay in our dog-friendly Pyggy. By providing sponsorship and support, we help ensure these events continue to thrive for future generations.

Involvement in local markets

Silchester Farm also plays an active role in local markets, where we showcase produce and connect with the community. These events provide valuable opportunities to support other local businesses, celebrate Hampshire’s rural offering, and strengthen ties with residents.

Giving back through our team

Every member of our staff is given a dedicated Giving Back Day each year, encouraging them to volunteer their time with causes that matter to them personally. Whether it’s assisting at charity events, supporting schools, or contributing to local initiatives, we believe small acts of service collectively make a significant difference.

Our commitment

Silchester Farm is proud to be part of a community where businesses support and uplift one another. By sponsoring events, attending markets, supporting charity, and encouraging volunteering, we aim to continue strengthening the bonds within our village and beyond.
